The tragedy of history is that the history is always the recordings of the rulers rather than the recordings of the people of a nation. History talks about the policies and achievements of the governments. History dont talk about the plight of common man for a livelyhood. History is just about the boastings by the rules

we know the great achievements of Ashok or Alexandar or Augustus however how many knows what was the situation of a common man, how was he earning his breads? what are the struggles he encounterd? The real history is the way an average man lives and dies. Kings, rules and govts are just facilitator, still we cant ignore the faciliator. as the tendendy if facilitator is to become fraud.

Recently I read some stats on the Philanthropy about India. The stats says that according to a research by Bain & Co, there are over 115,000 high-networth individuals in India.

Since 2000, this elite group has grown an average of 11 per cent annually. Between 2006 and 2007, the number of wealthy individuals in India surged by 23 per cent, which is the highest growth rate in the world.

Today, more than 400 million people live below the poverty line in India. The global meltdown has pushed an additional 25 million to 40 million citizens below the poverty line.

"The wealthiest have the lowest level of giving at 1.6 % of household income. While the 'high class', which is ranked one level below the 'upper class' on the income and education scale, donates 2.1% to charity, the middle class gives 1.9% of household income to philanthropy," says Arpan Sheth, partner, Bain & Company.

The charitable initiatives in India accounted to about $7.5 billion in 2009, according to the study, equivalent to about 0.6 per cent of the country's GDP.

The rate is higher than Brazil's 0.3 per cent and rival China's 0.1 per cent, but lags behind United States which is 2.2% and 1.3% in Britain, the report said.

	see some stats from US

The largest 100 foundations in the US have more than $200 billion in assets. These assets are used to help underwrite philanthropic activities. This massive asset base allows foundations to extend their support throughout the world.

This makes me wonder what happend to us, why are we so tight handed when it comes to helping those needy.

one of the reasons might be that many of these rich indians have got their wealth recently and hesitate to part a bit of it.

Rigveda says “Those who donate enthusiastically make constant efforts to increase their income so that they never find problems in making charity.”

	Kautilya says

The virtuous one despises prosperity attained through ignominy. The bounds of good conduct should never be
crossed. Truth and charity are the roots of righteousness.
Righteousness is the ornament of all [Kautilya's Sutra,
Subramanian, pp. 39, 47, 62].

It is possible to know even the path of birds flying in the
their (dishonest) income [Kautilya's Arthashastra, p.
283].
Twitter cant forget the promotion its getting from Indian media. tweets are creating havoc in India.

The current twitter hangama is taking its toll, and the career of many ministers and directors of institutions are being squashed.

We are in the midst of people who are thirsty of money no matter how much they have. And these people capitalize on the interests and innocence of millions of Indians.

What can be equal to this where in the misuse of power and money? how can a person try to launder money and make the way for many to make their money from black to white. use of public money to buy yatches or jets can this be pardoned?

Its shame that we have reached a stage where we have scant regards to Ideals.

We do get educated in good schools and colleges and some of them are from premier colleges. However all these disappears when we hit the road we have scant regard to rules or we care about others. The compettive world has changed our lives, we do want to be first on road too. Make our way no matter what stops you.

Why cant we just re think what changes in two seconds if we reach first, cant we just care about others. Why should we block others way in an illegal way just to be first. Is this risk not higher if we compare what we put at stake in return, it is "Life". Precious life is at stake no matter whose life it is.

cant we just let others to pass if he is the first waiting to cross rather than troubing his way. This will definitely result in both the ways blocked and result in instant traffic chaos as we have a mentality that traffic is a compettion where every one wants to cross it first. result is total chaos on road.

Just allowing others to pass will definite result in grattitude from other person, who will defintely do the same to others as he learns that peacefull driving is far better than the traffic chaos.

Lets be compettive but non in this, as compettion is chaotic on road and puts everyones life at risk.

can we have more courtesy from now on?

India has fought a bitter war against racist imperialism just hundred years back However now some times I do feel that we are also one of the biggest racist country in the world. It starts with our preliminary schools itself either with caste or color.

Questions like the name of the caste ( where the name is not necessary ) will be asked to fill the forms. Racial profiling starts at the age and never it ends.

Our skin color haunts our life where ever we go. Whether its partipictaion in a school event such as drama/dance or it can be career opportunies like acting or news reader. Your skin color dictates what you will be. Even marriage fortunes can be different based on the skin color.

How many dark coloured Indian can enter the field of action, its any ones guess.

The amount of seggregation we have and the amount of profiling we do makes me wonder are we not racist?

One of the most disturbing event of the recent time was the one in which Maoists trapped and gunned down 76 security personnel during Operation Green Hunt, an offensive against the Left-wing extremists, on Tuesday morning in the thick forests of Mukrana in Dantewada district of Chattisgarh.

The things which goes in my mind is what has happend to our strategy and plans?

an ideal plan should have been accompanied with break up of units and the minimum distance between two units should have been atleast .5 mile.

We dont take hard decisions on naxals as it might bring political loss to the parties as it might effect their vote banks.

The way we should win the fight is

we should build the confidence of the villagers by providing jobs, roads, water electricty etc. Though initialy it will be tough as they have to face the brain wash done by maoists.

use informers and learn their strategy, win over the moderates and try to pull them away from extremists.

fight the extremists and the hardcore maoists using all possible way.

provide latest machinery and equipments to the soldiers/

use sattelites, heat seeking instruments, monitor smokes and fires in forrest to learn the maoists hide outs.

the combination of these methods should win the war for us.

This is my first log. Many times there are some thoughts which we run in our mind and these thoughts can change ourselves our sorouding and ofcourse the world.

Its always better to share these thoughts rather than extinguish within us.

some times these thoughts can ignite real changes, just like krishna says its always better to give a try rather than tieng our hands and doing nothing.

Just as Krishna said around 5000 years back. ( in Chapther 3.8 verse of bhagvad geeta)

	िनयत ं कु कम  ंकमायोकमण ः।
